Deer Valley Resort located in Park City, Utah, revolutionized the ski industry by providing the first-class service one would receive at a five-star hotel. The ski-only resort currently offers 21 chairlifts, 103 ski runs, six bowls, 300 annual inches of powder, 2,026 acres of alpine skiing, limited lift ticket sales, numerous restaurants, three elegant day lodges, hundreds of luxury accommodations and a renowned Ski School and Children’s Center. In August 2023, Deer Valley made a significant announcement regarding its major terrain expansion, which will extend the skiable area to a total of 5,726 acres. Deer Valley is honored to be ranked as the United States’ Best Ski Resort by the World Ski Awards for 11 consecutive years.

Deer Valley East Village anchoring Deer Valley’s major terrain expansion will feature a state-of-the-art skier services facility that houses everything from ski school to rentals, retail options, and a diverse array of dining establishments. Notably, the additional new gateway offers an alternate arrival option to Deer Valley via U.S. Route 40 with 1,200 new day skier parking spaces and promises to not only elevate the arrival experience but also ease traffic flow within Park City.

Deer Valley East Village’s expansion will feature over 800 hotel rooms, nearly 1,700 residential units, 250,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000 square feet for recreation.

WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE DEER VALLEY EAST VILLAGE?

Deer Valley East Village is projected to have several restaurants, a ski school, including children’s programs, an ice-skating facility and the largest “ski beach” in North America. Upon completion, the Deer Valley East Village will include nearly 1,700 residential units, 800 hotel rooms across multiple properties, 250,000-square-feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000-square-feet for recreation.  

HOW WILL GUESTS ACCESS THE DEER VALLEY EAST VILLAGE?

Guests will now be able to access Deer Valley through the Deer Valley East Village. Notably, the additional new gateway offers an alternate arrival option to Deer Valley via U.S. Route 40 with 1,200 new day skier parking spaces and promises to not only elevate the arrival experience but also ease traffic flow within Park City. Deer Valley East Village is approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport on a route that doesn’t currently include a single stoplight.

WILL DEER VALLEY BE EXPANDING THEIR LODGING AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO INCLUDE THIS AREA?

Deer Valley East Village will include over 800 hotel rooms and nearly 1,700 residential units. Deer Valley will evaluate all future opportunities to see if they align with our mission of providing unparalleled service & experience and then determine if including those units in our Lodging Portfolio makes sense.
